Still Working from Home

Even in these down economic times, it is possible to make money from home. I am still working from home and maintaining the same level of income even with the downturn. I don't have all of my eggs in one basket, I do work for several companies in case one has a problem.

I think a lot of people are turning to the internet after they lose a job and getting lost. They see offers for quick internet profit schemes and lose money that they do not have. It is possible to make internet profits but you have to do your homework first. Be sure you are dealing with a reputable company and that you do your homework.

A Miracle Landing

Have you seen the photos of the miracle airplane landing in the Hudson? It is truly amazing that the pilot was able to land that huge aircraft in the water without any loss of life. His skill is amazing. I think it an example of the right person being put in the right place at the right time. I have to think that that wasn't a coincidence. We needed some good news!

Happy New Year

It is the beginning of a new year and I hope it turns out to be a good one for all of you. I have great hope that our new president will be able to lead us out of this mess. My thoughts are will everyone who has lost their job and are struggling. If we all work together we can make this better. Keep the faith!

Merry Christmas Eve

It's been a busy month but a happy one. I just wanted to take a minute to wish everyone a very merry Christmas. Times are touch economically, many of us have had to tighten our belts, but we still have our friends and family. That is what the holidays are about anyway, love and friendship. I hope you enjoy your holidays and have a very Merry Christmas.

A Perk of Being Your Own Boss

One of the perks of working at home and being your own boss is being able to set your own schedule. I love that I can arrange my hours and even cut back on them a bit at Christmas so that I can have time to enjoy the holiday. If I were in a traditional job I would be frantically trying to make up time from being away. With the way I work, as long as I a happy with what is in my check book I don't have to make anything up. Of course, many say the downside of that is no steady dependable paycheck coming in. My answer to that is whose job do you think is stable in this economy anyway?

Decorating Over

The decorations are up and the tree is done. I was not sure how much we would get done this year with my husband's surgery but we at least got something up! lol I have never done any of the outdoor stuff, that is his department and I am in charge of the inside. Very tradition, I know, but it works for us.

I brought some of the lights in and we checked them for dead bulbs at the kitchen table. Then I pulled one of the deck chairs around to the front and he played director from there. Ladders are not my favorite things but I managed to accomplish the task with no broken bones. I'm just glad it put a smile on his face to see it.

Go Find Them!

I am the sort of person who likes for everyone to find their mate. I should have been a matchmaker. Even thought I'm not one, I try to do my part. So if you are looking for someone, pay attention.

There is a website that I heard about to help you find local singles called LocalMatch.com. Yes, I said local. Not someone across the country that you are going to have to figure out how to see. You can go to their site and look specifically in your area for Free Local Singles. It is time for you to find your perfect match, give it a shot!
